East Timor bound
Hey Guys, I am having to leave Indonesia for a visa run and I just got a ticket to East Timor. Does anyone have any Intel on spearing there? I have 3 days to dive and I will be in or around Dili. I hear salt water crocs are an issue especially on the south coast and transportation due to horrible roads is difficult. Anyhow, I am bringing my gear and hoping for the best. Any Intel would be greatly appreciated.

Re: East Timor bound
Hey I considered going for a trip there, opted for Fiji instead. From what I read the reefs are very over fished and there are absolutely no large (larger than a foot from what I gather) fish left. The coral is supposed to be fantastic, but can't really fish that. Good shorediving, I imagine crocs won't be an issue on the beaches and away from mangrove.

If your leaving out of Kupong in west Timor (same island). I know a local who can point you in the right direction. Can't remember the exact directions but I shot a few decent reef fish and Spanish mackerel shore diving there.
