Yes, and it scared the crap out of me. Hit him with a .357 it didn't kill it, but he swam off. Getting a larger caliber before going back. That was a good move jamming the spear in his mouth, no way he could come back for another pass with the spear and the whole speargun buried.

amazing experience!!
a typical load of shark made from the depth.. I ripped the vid and with FCP edit a pic which seem to show, in my modest opinion, a sandbar shark? (the wide pectoral triangular fin) That makes me think that about two weeks ago my cuban colleague and me have been got seriously harassed by 3 reef sharks in the blue and one of them bit the Gopro cam and the pole a pic taken just at the time the reef shark bit... before taking off

Yes it was a Bull shark off the coast of Queensland Australia. They get gnarly out there!
