i just read an article in SOF mag about the crime in Brazil. well about the gov. and the police/drug gang sit.
i still want to visit though.

Crime in Brazil?? Nah... thats just there way of saying Hi. They said Hi to me in broad daylite 15 minutes after I arrived in town on a crowded public beach. The welcome party consisted of three well armed young( each had a long sharp steel shank)men.

With that said, though the diving was great...
Me and my woman chartered charterd our own private boat compltete with captain and dive master, full equipment, three tanks a piece, for about $80 dillars per day including tip!!! We did not spear, but did see lots of nice fish! on some really great sites. One was an Island with tunnels, caves and passages that went on forever.... really cool stuff.
