I flew Emirates Dubai to Clark, then Clark to Coron Philippine Airlines. I have flown around the world with my Sportube 2 and never had an issue with size. Only issue I ever had was declaring it as fishing equipment. However, just put a couple rods in there without reels and it becomes true fishing equipment

Ah ok that’s why. We fly from LAX to Manila on PAL and we are limited to two 50 lb luggage which can’t be over 62” LxWxD. So last time I went I had my two luggage and a piece of pvc that was 60x1x1 and that was considered a extra piece of luggage but I took 6 shafts with me cause they are hard to get over there. When I took my gun I took it apart and put it in a sport tube 1 which I had to cut down to fit everything and make the 62” requirements. Big pain in the ass so I just left my guns there and got new ones when I got back.

I ordered a 7mm & 8mm tonight. They have some recent activity on FB including that they're stocked in Spearamerica and sold out of the 7mm size the same day.

I'll provide some feedback once I receive them and then again once I get to use them.

Thanks for feed back. I have two also 7mm but haven’t tried them yet. I will when I go to the Philippines next month I have three guns over there of which I want to put it on one of them.

Won’t be able to use it this weekend at this rate.
Did you ever hear back or receive your order? I got a shipping notice, but it was almost immediately after ordering late at night so it was most likely automated.

Hoping I get them rather quickly since they're shipping to me within California.

I bought one here in San Diego about a month ago from a dive shop here. But found out Spearamerica sells them also so my daughter got me one for Father’s Day she lives in the area that’s why I have two. Nice to have a backup when traveling far away.

Re: Kimera slip tip

Unfortunately vis has been too tight for me to use it. I’ll put it to work in July but it will only be on 4-12lb fish with a cannon of a gun so it’ll hardly be putting it to the limit

Re: Kimera slip tip

Well looks like we will be trying them out at the same time. I’ll be in the Philippines late July to try mine. I’ll post my results of it then.

Re: Kimera slip tip

Slip tip is solid. Only gripe is the line they give you is shit. I might crimp stiff spectra to replace it or something.
Let me get away with a garbage shot (purposefully shitty)

Re: Kimera slip tip

The main advantage for me is I can use less gun. I just need to get the tip through.
