The secondary conversation following 2014 regulation is updating the ARMP to a long term abalone fishery management plan. As for the licenses, we all want perforated tags, however the ALDS system does not perforate. Tagging helps with enforcement. The tagging of an abalone came about because there are people out there who are not honorable nor trustworthy, primarily poachers.
