Another gun making maestro
So I randomly came across this gun builder from Tahiti through instagram:
https://www.mr-joints-spearfishing.com/ And was very impressed by what i saw, particularly this monster, the "Vau 100": https://www.mr-joints-spearfishing.com/vau-100 Seems like a pretty handsome package to compete against those high end / elite builders like Alemanni, "GS Spearguns" from this forum, etc, really exotic stuff. Though i don't have any information about the guns actual performance or anything to actually know if they shoot as well as they look. But there is a lot of images and footage of them floating around to know they kill a lot of fish.. Anyone have any experiences to share? Cheers |

Re: Another gun making maestro
i know this is an older thread, but does anyone have any further experience or reviews with these guns?
Instagram page has some great vids etc... The Vau100 looks great, and recoil in some of the clips is almost non existent. Any hands on experience in this forum? Thanks. |

only some beginners spearos likes it because they are able to spear " normal" sizes fishes with this kind of gun , who usually get caught with a simple rubber . then most videos are from a hunter more known for being a good liar than a good hunter... the reports I received from the real good hunters are : the speargun is very poorly balanced and not stable in the water . some buyers have returned the speargun received due to water infiltration into the wood ( light mahogany = cheap wood ) which requires painting or varnish to obtain the waterproofness of the wood . good luck with those if you get one ! |
