Re: Punta Mita road trip

The trip was fun, but the fish just weren't there.... We made 3-4 drifts with flashers chumming Bonita and jacks and all we got was a dorado. The water was about 78. But the weather was perfect!

I was watching you guys dive the lil high spot in front of four seasons. Water was turned over everywhere. It was tough diving, and was a nice swell also, which didn't help shore diving. Nice dodo, did you have the restaurant cook it for you?

Re: Punta Mita road trip

Cool John, did you do any good shore diving? I'm disappointed we didn't get to give it a shot. Ran out of time and weren't confident in picking a safe place to get in and try so it didn't happen.

We had a restaurant in sayulita cook it up for us. Had it done several ways..had a shrimp sauce, mango-coconut sauce(fantastic), and ceviche that was out of this world.

Was it at Calypso, overlooking the center? Love that town! And no, didn't do any shore diving on this one. Think we are going back 3-26 to 4-3 so hopefully the water gets back to the nice blue stuff.

Here is what most of us considered the "highlight of the trip"

Geofri takes the Mahi...
