Cheers!

Re: 2013 reports

Had a hook and line buddy tell me Enders Reservoir in southwest Nebraska was really clear, so I went down this morning to try it out and was really disappointed as it was about 1 foot vis, so needless to say, I didn't stay long. Then went to McConaughy and had ok vis. Dove the south side on 2 different points. Didn't see hardly any fish, until I stubbled into a sunkin tree in only 8-10 foot of water and found tons of big smallmouth and even shot a nice Spotted Bass. The Walleye were there as well. Took around 60 drops today and only saw 8 Walleye, only 5 were legal. and the 4 I shot were between 16 and 20 inches. Really tough shoot, and vis only 5 foot cloudy at best.

Re: 2013 reports

Thanks for the report Dustin, sounds like FW is a bust this year for the most part.

Re: 2013 reports

Went back to give Big Mac another shot this morning, arrived about 10:00 a.m., lake was pretty calm for a change, but visibility was actually down. Dove a point on the south side and was looking at only 3 foot visibility. Even though the vis was down the fish were way more plentiful then last weekend. Walleye were in 10-12 foot of water really all over the place and the size of the fish was better than last weekend as well. My first fish was my "over 22" at 26 inches, then shot a 21, 20, and a 18. I had to pass several to get my limit as I saw several in that 22-26 inch range. shot my limit in an hour, so a lot better than last weekend. The fish seem to be easier to find with less boat traffic on the lake and last weekend was a zoo with the holiday weekend, so that is probably the reason it was tough. Cruzing the bottom is not an option do to poor vis, but if you dive to a rock and hold on the bottom for a few seconds the fish come to you.

Re: 2013 reports

Thanks for the report Dustin, I hope to hit up Mac soon for a dive.

Did you hit the dam at all? If so how was the biz in that area?

Thanks!
Chad

Re: 2013 reports

Took Marcosoccia out for his first real trip to Willow Beach. Totally had a blast despite not seeing any striper. Visibility wasn't the best I have seen out there but wasn't bad. Water temperature was cold as always!

I'm not much of a storyteller but I love my camera and making videos so here's the "evidence", hope you enjoy.
