Dont forget the slip tip. Do the guns have break aways?

Between these guns I would buy the Rob Allen

Re: WSB Gun purchase

I'd rather have a 110 than a 100 if it were going to be my designated seabass gun

Re: WSB Gun purchase

the 120 or 130 would be a little more money, and a little more of what Juan is hinting at.

definitely go for the RA 110 if thats what you're set on length wise, and price wise

Do you think a slip tip is necessary for the shaft to not bend?

Yes, that is one reason for a slip tip, but they are mainly used to reduce tear-offs because wsb have soft flesh, and without a really good shot, a flopper shaft can easily rip out of the fish. You won't find many people on this board advocating you not to use a slip tip for seabass, but it is possible to get away with a flopper, just not practical or responsible (unless you are an expert who has lots of self control and will be very selective with his shot).

Re: WSB Gun purchase

Using a flopper shaft period makes no sense to me. So old school its ridiculous. A guy on this board who was some sort of engineer was designing a new type of flopper that expanded once through the fish...genius design and if anyone knows the guys blog that I am talking about please post as I can't seem to find it anymore....anyways what im really trying to say is **** floppers.
