Lost gun cam
So, cool story, Bro.
Ever since buying a custom Ken Hammer gun, I've seemed to be hell-bent on losing it. One time it almost fell out of the boat, one time another diver dropped it overboard, another time it floated up away from me when I set it aside, thinking it wouldn't be THAT buoyant after only firing one shaft and still having one in it, and then on Tuesday . . . . Well, I was loading my band before dropping, right next to the buoy. I looked up and there was a jellyfish about to recreate Alien on my face. In the struggle to get away and push it aside the gun slipped from my fingers, and it is NOT buoyant with both shafts in it. I desperately tried to grab it, only to realize my BC was still inflated. I dropped down as quick as I could and spent 20 minutes searching for it in bad viz. The whole time my camera was running. Was kind of neat watching the video today (yes, I found it) - the thing that pissed me off more than anything is that while I was searching for it there were some HUGE fish that came up to me, totally unafraid. The moment I found it I couldn't find THEM anymore - LOL. Anyway, thought you guys would like to see how curious some of the fish were - maybe I should start dropping things like concrete blocks on top of where the marker buoy is before dropping - https://youtu.be/yeCFOIPvhMs |

Re: Lost gun cam
Might be time to tie it to you with a 3 ft piece of line since it sounds like it keeps trying to leave you! lol

Re: Lost gun cam
I just saw the video.
How many feet was this? A lot of mangrove snapper 18 inches and up? Not bad.

Re: Lost gun cam
Also to your comment about fish comming up to you when you have no gun, yessssss. This always happens. After I take a shot and miss, EVERY fish in the reef comes up close no ****s. And then when I am done loading the second band, boom they all get spooked and leave. It's like they know when we are loaded and unloaded. Its crazy.
