Re: Buzzbomb style flasher material

You can buy the mirrored acrylic at a bunch of places online. VIPPLASTICS.com is one I've used before. They will cut it to whatever size you want. Its mirrored on one side. You can glue 2 together or put reflective vinyl on the other side.

Here in the UK, the wine box still has the metal on the inside. As for the fishies, I just cut some .75mil acrylic sheets and used reflective tape.

Re: Buzzbomb style flasher material

Living in China, we have all this stuff...;-). Both the mirror acrylic (double sided) as well as the silver foiled wine bags, even the 3D fish eyes. Cheap as chips, too.
I made some fish, and sent some to a friend who was heading to Bali. The silver washed right off of them after a few days. I then spray varnished my set and they have held up nicely, but the extra step was less ideal and took a bit of the shine away.
The wine bag is okayish. Not as reflective as other stuff I have seen, though and I think a tad less stiff would be even better.

Here are a few snaps from the building process:

Re: Buzzbomb style flasher material

The eyes were from a Chinese online tackle shop. I think the search phrase might be "3D fish eyes" - similar stuff might turn up on Amazon/eBay.
