South Beach shore diving

I will be down in Miami (7/11-7/15) staying at the Stanton, right off of South Beach. I saw theres a reef about 100-200 yards off the beach. I also saw that theres a jetty just south of the hotel as well. Anything worth looking at? I probably wont be spearing due to limited cooking ability in the hotel, but wouldnt mind snapping some pics or videos of the dive. Any information would be appreciated.

The North jetty of Government Cut is a fun dive. There will be TONS of snook there all along it this time of year. If you're swimming out from the beach make sure you have a dive flag, and stay very close to the rocks. Boat traffic is obviously heavy in the area since it's a major shipping channel. If you stay on the north side of the jetty there's a lot less traffic, and current. The rocks right around the end are probably where you'll see the most life.

I appreciate the insight!
