Intova Sport HD camera.

Anybody using these thing yet? At $150 it looks like a good deal, and the LDS said they sell a lot of them and haven't heard any complaints.
My old Canon is dead and I'm looking at something for my Christmas list.

Re: Intova Sport HD camera.

With my old Canon, I didn't do a lot of video, just took stills mostly. My kids both have GoPro 2's, with flat lenses. Great cameras, but no screen on the back. I think as long as the Intova holds up and doesn't crap out on me, it should be fine.

Re: Intova Sport HD camera.

Hi Ron,

One of my LDS sells them.

What surprised me was how many assessories Intova offers for Camera related stuff.

I picked up a spear gun mount (SGM) and really like it. With some minor modification, it holds my, (recently purchased), Gopro just perfect on my Wong and Riffe guns.

I took a video shooting a Striper a couple of weeks ago. Now, I will have to figure out how to download into my laptop. Ha

Re: Intova Sport HD camera.

Hi Les, good to hear from you!
My LDS also has a whole rack of accessories for the Intova. If the camera itself is of good quality, they have a pretty slick system. My only concern is that from what I've heard, Intova's previous cameras didn't hold up too well. My buddy at the dive shop said Intova finally got serious with this new little camera in order to attempt to compete with GoPro.
I learned that I can still get the Gopro Hero 2 for around $200, which is what I paid for the two I bought for my sons. Those cameras have worked really well for the boys, and spend most of the winter mounted to the tops of their ski helmets...
