Technical Spearfishing Technical Scuba diving is generally defined as going deeper than 130 feet. You must have the proper training for this extreme aspect of spearfishing. |

Deep diving report (Virgin wreck diving)
Fishhunta and I went out this morning to check a spot from a fisherman friend. As far as we know its never been dove before. Deepest depth was 201'. Due to the morning thunderstorms and overcast it made it pretty dark down there so even if there was fish we probably couldn't of seen them. We didn't shoot anything, but the spot could have potential.
Turned out to be about a 25' inboard/outboard sitting upside down. One problem that we noticed was that there didn't appear to be any places where fish could get inside (see fishhunta's tread in the general section)? After the deep dive we came in a little shallower and dove a wreck in 180' where fishhunta got this gag that I am holding up. We had to drop fishhunta off at 10:00 AM. So I went back out and did some shallow freediving and me friend got this nice mango also.

Re: Deep diving report (Virgin wreck diving)
I read Pauls thread. I'd bet if you could get a series of holes cut in that hull, it would be a great grouper hotel.
Cool. |
