Re: Wahoo Dreaming Feb2012

My son has a friend who just goes out on the week end and throws glass minnows and free dives in the 220 ft range. They shoot quite a few Hoos and lost a gun a last month on a giant they claimed pulled it from their hands.

But holly shit @@@@ a week or so ago they shot a Wahoo with a Rob Allen and a flapper tip, no reel, that was over a 110 pounds. The fish was one of a group five. It was the most impressive catch with spear or rod and reel that I have seen come from our near shore waters in as long as I can remember. And I am old as shit.

I dive my ass off and have never seen one that big in our waters or seen a friend land one here of that size. I have landed larger monsters deep in the Bahamas, but nothing like that fish on our side of the Gulf Stream.

It was a straight on face shot through one eye and schiobobbed the torso.

There is defiantly something to be said for that hunting method of free diving.

Don't cry for Ryfish Argentina!!!
He sucked it up despite the nasty seas on Sunday and followed the fish report we shared with him to find 2 more nice fish. I'm sure when he reads this post he will toss up a pic of the fish he got. He has shot so many Hoos the last 10months that he doesn't need to worry about what I kill on any given Wednesday.

Here I will just add a couple pics of the two I got Sunday no need to start a new thread, don't want people to think I am gloating or overdoing it! Haha

Again nice fish Killian and Glad you got your first one and a nice what at that Ryanj!

Re: Wahoo Dreaming Feb2012

Nice pair of Sunday Hoos Ryfish! If RyanG doesnt post the finished Video soon I plan to break into his house and bend a few shafts in retaliation

I saw the rough edit "cut" minus a soundtrack and the picture montage I suggested for the ending and the footage was SICK!!!

Come on RyanG POST IT!!!!!! (I will edit the first and copy it there)

Why doesn't he post a picture of every single wahoo he shoots on every fishing site on the internet and tell a bunch of people the coordinates where he's getting them? maybe he's trying to keep it a secret so he can continue to hunt them in the future in peace
