need question on yamaha 90 outboard answered

my friend has a 2002 90 yamaha outboard and his buzzer goes off at idle.. we changed water pump, thermostat and checked inside the outside plate on head for blockage.. nothing...my question is what is the temperature that the heat sensor makes the buzzer go off.. its the one on the starboard side of the head with a rubber bushing around it..

Re: need question on yamaha 90 outboard answered

Thermoswitch spec is alarm on (continuity) at 183-194F then alarm off (open) when sensor cools down to 140-165F.

Check the poppet valve (pressure relief valve) to see if it is stuck open. If so can cause overheating at idle/low RPM.
