Anclote 8/3

Headed out this morning and were greeted with numerous storms offshore. Stay close for a few dives then shot the gap. Got out to the 50-55ft area. Great vis. very skittish fish Dave and I tag teamed a nice 35 inch gag. Video to come. Got some nice hogfish as well. Great day overall

Nice gags. The rain storm patterns keep changing lately from evening to morning or morning and evening. Hopefully, it'll get back on track to late evening.

Re: Anclote 8/3

Thanks Dan! Those AM storms were a little sketchy especially when the t-top and outriggers started buzzing. Once we shot thru to the other side it was like a different day. The vis definitely improved in the past week. Saw plenty of gags but getting close to them was tough.

Nice fish! Thanks for the report. Do you have a data link that works offshore to be aware of the storm situation or do you just have steely balls?

Re: Anclote 8/3

No data link. We're installing new electronics in the offseason and SeriusXM weather is on the list. If anyone has found any other offshore weather options then I'd be interested to hear about them.

Re: Anclote 8/3

I have the Sirrus fisherman package in Florida. Not expensive and works very well
