Shark Migration

So, in looking at this pic from my Expedition White Shark app, I am noticing a lot of the tagged sharks have moved offshore between Cali and Hawaii. I have been watching them closely over the last several months. Any idea of their migration habits. Just January curiosity kicking in. Carry on.

Re: Shark Migration

It is thought they congregate in this area to breed, although in past years, they also migrated south to Mexico while traveling about 1500' down...probably to feed on giant squid at that level...I know that in February, they often end up at Guadalupe island, where they feed on breeding seals, sea lions, etc....Mexican panga fishermen at the island advised me that the sharks would often come up out of the water to grab seals off the rocks....
...speaking of sharks, currently the whites (sea bass, that is) are showing along our coast. Time to switch gears from chasing tuna, lobster and yellowtail!...
