Re: trigger fish
Hey Toni...I know but getting stopped in State waters and having an FWC that knows his fish could detain you for a while !! We don't see many at all around Daytona or Ponce.

Re: trigger fish
I agree. Frankly, I don't understand why anyone would want to shoot spadefish or a queen trigger. They are just too docile and beautiful to needlessly take their lives. I am sure some folks will vehemently disagree with my post but if so, just flame on.

Re: trigger fish
More for me,no problem.I rarely shoot cubera or mango as I don't really care for them much.Same for kingfish.

Re: trigger fish
Not to derail, but Queen Triggers are ANYTHING but docile. Sure, they look pretty, and sometimes look friendly; but put a bad shot on a hog or grouper that is less than double the size of the queen and watch what happens when it swims off your polespear. Queens will tear the thing apart. Good thing is they are better at locating the missing fish than we are, so you can usually get the fish back.

Re: trigger fish
Spade fish as table fare has been discussed a lot on this forum. Most people don't eat them, some say they're good. The meat is soft and has huge blood lines, if you cut out all the blood and fry it immediately, its not horrible. I would rather buy a hamburger.
