Re: Current Vis Biscayne Bay / Elliott area and Miami

I was out today aruond ceasar's vis was about 15-20 at the worst but in other areas a little better. We were out from about 7:30 to about 1:00 this afternoon and caught 3 hogs,2 small cudas,1 yellow jack,3 chunky schoolmaster's,1 big grunt, and a really nice gag. We did see alot of hogs and red groupers and an ocassional black but they were a little on the small side.So all in all it was not too bad a day.

Should be a nice day tomorrow.

Thursday And Thursday Night...Northeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 feet or less. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Slight chance of showers.

and vis report posted by jfreak of 15'-20' will work for me.

Went out today 11-19-09, Seas were nice maybe around 2ft. Vis was poor, about 10ft.-15ft. in 20ft of water with a ripping current. The vis was a little better on the deeper reefs, but nothing to brag about. Hopefully It gets better soon.

The bay was clear, you could even see bottom in Bayfront channel. I guess the current on the outside is just helping keep things stirred up out there.

Miami Beach outa GC vis was hazy, but top to bottom out to 60' water was cold as heck in a 3mm, but nice to be out nonetheless.
