Looking for Boat Storage

I am looking for a spot to park my 22’ boat. Specifically looking for a place with 24hr access and near Los Alamitos Bay if possible.
Let me know if you have a spot or know of a place that has available spots.

Thank you

Re: Looking for Boat Storage

..My first choice would be Sunset Aquatic Marina in Sunset Beach, 2901 Edinger, west of Bolsa Chica. 562 592-1853. Launching is included (200' away), $3.00 in quarters pay washdown if you don't want to tow it home, good security, as Sheriff's Marine office is onsite, pumpouts nearby and you can usually rent a temp boat slip for a couple of days when needed (Christmas boat parade, trailer work, etc). Suggest you get list of open slots, drive thru and look for one that makes backing in easier. Some are a tight fit if there are turns and 10' wide boats on either side...I pay $215 a month for my 25' Parker.
...Alamitos bay is limited with a city wait list They do have a small boat storage yard with no amenities by the marine stadium but, it is usually full. There is a private marina by the PCH bridge (behind the hotel off Loynes Drive) that may have openings. Rickety docks and no amenities except for water and some electric outlets...good luck..

“Good luck” is about right!
I had my boat stored in a brand name storage facility in Cerritos and they raised the rent by $75 in just 10 months. Although if was a really nice facility, nothing justifies that great an increase.
I moved my boat to a friends house but he is moving and I have to remove the boat from the property. If I don’t find something soon, I guess I’ll have to pay the storage fee and return to my old storage space again.

Re: Looking for Boat Storage

….Part of the problem is ever increasing property taxes..our asshole Attorney General misleads the voters with "feel good" titles on every bond and new tax issue the Sacramento prostitutes want passed. Voters don't read the whole issue and always vote for more police, fire and street repair bills when the money is actually used for retirement funding and general tax obligations...My property taxes went up $200 a month last year because of uninformed voters passing every tax increase bill put out by the corrupt Assembly which seems to always be under the control of lobbyists and self-serving attorneys....

The only difference between Republicans and Democrat politicians is that Repubs spend your tax money on projects they say you need and Demos spend all your money on things they say they need....

I see you include a TV among all your emojis; well played indeed!

I'll ask around and see what I can find out Mario. I assume you don't want to be further north - such as MDR/Santa Monica, right? What about if the price was right?

Had a great time on our midnight lobster trip to Catalina. I'm game to join again soon.
