Improved DIY float

I’ve just finished designing a DIY float for spearfishing,
and I would love some feedback from the community on how I could improve it.
It has pontoon floats to reduce drag and improve bouyancy, bungee net,
lots of anchor points, a water bladder,
built in cutting board and fillet knife with protective sleeve, and a dive flag.
It can be attached to a backpack or used with removable straps.

Sounds cool! The photos didn't make it though, try adding them again as an attachment.

That is rad, I especially love the cutting board. Is it pool noodles zip tied to a boogie biard? Genius. The only thing is if they aren’t UV they will get brittle and snap one day, then you can replace them! 👍

Good call on the UV zip ties. I’m not sure if the ones I used are UV, but the next ones I put on will be for sure.

Re: Improved DIY float

Nice rig..I would move the dive flag to the front so it isn't whipping in the wind and blocking your vision when timing waves on entry and exit...also, it would allow you to lay up on the board evenly to keep it balanced...

I came to the same conclusion after using it the first time. On the next one I’ll put the flag in the front, but for now I just ride it backwards.

Re: Improved DIY float

It could be Yellow? Blue is not the best color for a Float unless you are trying to be stealthy..
