Although these aren't kill shots, these fish were hit along the lateral line rendereing them immoble and effectively "stoning" them.

this thread has nothing to do with size of fish, its placement that counts. Go ahead and post what you have. Bucket... whats the advantage to shooting them so far back? I usually aim well in front of the gill plate, closer toward the eye... |

angle the shot down and forward.
one of the best shots. good angle on the brain for a stone shot, too far back and you get the spine. and if you don't stone it, the fish can't swim off the shaft, since going forward is in effect swimming into the flopper.

Do not look at the bad wahoo shot placement, it was a long shot, the Dorado was the stoned one.
