Venezula is dying

I'm sure there are plenty of factors for this. IMO, the main one being the socialism adopted by the incompetent leader can not possibly ever properly regulate a complex system of such. Control is better left in the hands of the people in a natural order of basic economics. Another, IMO, is probably the bankers who've have preyed upon the country w/ loans that they, the corrupt politicians, have taken advantage of and don't have any plan to repay. The corrupt politicians have sold off it's gold, the one thing that keeps a country strong, in order to try and repay these fiat dollars.
This is the trademark of predatory central bankers, as described by one of the insiders/whistleblower that wrote a book about it, Confessions of an economic hit man. Quite sad.

"It's Pure Chaos Now; There Is No Way Back" - Venezuela Hits Rock Bottom As Its Morgues Overflow

Quote:
"Now things are worse than ever," says Yuli Sánchez. "They kill people and no one is punished while families have to keep their pain to themselves."... "This is now wilder than the wild west."... “Venezuela is pure chaos now. It seems to me there is no way back,” the former policeman says.
"What can we do?" Mr Mejía asks. “Give up.” The morgue employee in charge of handling the corpses notes that a decade ago he received seven or eight bodies every weekend. These days, he says, that number has risen to between 40 and 50: "This is now wilder than the wild west."

Critics say that the Venezuelan government is increasingly unable to provide citizens with water, electricity, health or a functioning economy which can supply basic food staples or indispensable medicines, let alone personal safety.

In other words, total socioeconomic collapse. This is what it looks like...
IMO, this is where we are heading if Bernie gets elected. That being said, I still think Bernie would be better than Hillary. The establishment crooks need to be eliminated and the country returned back to the people.

Raw Venezuela: Looter Burned Alive, While "Streets Filled With People Killing Animals For Food"

Quote:
The situation in Venezuela is reaching all out chaos, as crippling socialist policies have resulted in a devastating power and food shortage, as well as looming political instability. This is Caracas today...

These are hungry Venezuelans protesting that their children are dying from lack of food and medicine and that they do not have enough water or electricity. As AgainstCronyCapitalism reports, this is a country with more oil than Saudi Arabia, and the government has stolen all th emoney and now they bottleneck peaceful protesters and threaten them with bombs (or haul them to prison and torture them).

On the other side, Vice President Aristobulo Isturiz, speaking on state television, said that a separate march will be held to support the extension of President Nicolas Maduro’s economic emergency decree.

As SHTFPlan.com's Mac Slavo details, the point was reached long ago where people were forced to wait in long lines for basic rations that may not even be there, or turn to the black market.

Now, hunger and scarcity have apparently reached a tipping point that is driving people to poach stray animals and even pets for food...

Actually, we might see it in our life time. Educate your kids, folks. Teach..your children well...

Scenes From The Venezuela Apocalypse: "Countless Wounded" After 5,000 Loot Supermarket Looking For Food

Quote:
...According to Panampost, on Wednesday morning, a crowd sacked the Maracay Wholesale Market in the central region of Venezuela. According to the testimonies of merchants, the endless food lines that Venezuelans have been enduring to do groceries could not be organized that day.

¡VENEZUELA TIENE HAMBRE! #Video Saquean Mercado Mayorista Maracay #11May pic.twitter.com/DGRZ1bgkgI vía @venezolanodecen #CNERevocatorioYA

— El llanero (@llaneroVen) May 11, 2016

As time went by, desperate Venezuelans grew anxious over not being able to buy food. Then they started jumping over the gates and stormed the supermarket.

"They took milk, pasta, flour, oil, and milk powder. There were 5,000 people" one witness told Venezuela outlet El Estímulo.

People from across the entire state came to the supermarket because there were rumors that some products not found anywhere else would be sold there.

As a result of the massive crowd, the authorities were unable to preserve the peace. "There were 250 people for each National Guard officer… lots of people and few soldiers. At least one officer was beat up because he tried to stop the crowd,” another source told El Estímulo.

Other food dispensaries run by the government were also looted by the people.

Far from the promised socialist paradise, as the massive group of people moved, an entrance gate collapsed under the weight of the crowd, leaving several wounded.

The image below shows a human stampede over rice...
The people need to get out of the city and learn how to provide for themselves. It appears to be their only hope.

Every Bernie and Hillary voter needs to understand the evils of communism and socialism, as the same thing could happen here. But they won't believe it.

Re: Venezula is dying

Well... I stayed away from this thread because it touches me deeply...

I'm a venezuelan born italian. How is that? Venezuela was THE PLACE to go after the WW2. So my parents met and married there. Not many people knows, but Venezuela had more highways per capita than the USA by the 60's.

It was a very prosper country with the perfect weather, no hurricanes, no earthquakes, fertile land, oil, minerals, EVERYTHING!

Then, Chávez won the ellections back in 1998 and all this started...

There are lots of well educated venezuelans that left the country years ago (and still leaving). I am a living example of it. I have a bachelor degree and speak 4 languages.

Sad thing is that neither myself or any other person that left the country is going back there. Whoever is staying is because they can't leave.

Now I stop because I'm sad. Very sad.

Wow...my condolences. Thanks for the insight, though. It makes me sad as well. The only reason for posting about it is so that people can make an educated opinion of whether socialism is the right choice. This gov'ts downfall was not only socialism. From what I've read, the people in charge were also very corrupt and xported a lot of the country's gold out of the country...stole it. Nevertheless, Big gov't socialism will lead to theft...Sad.
More sadnes is about to affect the USA. There is a whole generation that has been propagandized via the Fed educational system. The US is lagging Venezuela a bit in this respect...but it will come. We'll all be serfs if we don''t study history.

In the not too distant future, the now much maligned "preppers" are going to look like geniuses while everybody else is stampeding into the empty stores looking for food.

Marco, my heart goes out to you. Human depravity always destroys the good and turns it into evil. The only remedy is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Went to the gun show today with my oldest son and grandson. He bought two ARs and HIS OWN AMMO!He has 10 hens now and is starting his own garden.Probably going back for optics tomorrow.
Now I need to get him to stock up on freeze dried food and some rice and beans.
Worst case he has plenty of food for the kids and good firearms.

Is A Venezuela Coup Imminent? An Interview With A National Guardsman

Quote:
Q. If discontent is so widespread, why is there no talk of a coup?

That’s already been discussed. The coup d’état, we hope, will not be repeated. We remember what happened in 2002 with Chávez and we don’t want something similar to happen in the future. We are rather waiting for things to get truly out of hand. And that will happen in the following months. The situation is extremely unstable and the status quo can’t last. We are witnessing daily looting at supermarkets, and people are protesting....
