On your gun build, take a look at the measurement from the line of the shaft to the top of your hand position. You want your hand to be as close to the shaft line as possible. It greatly reduces the torque on recoil and will reduce muzzle flip.

Yes ... this is true for all spearguns. You can actually have the handle high enough where the muzzle flip is actually negative ... the shaft will leave the track and the muzzle will dip rather than go up.

Actualy the force acts from where the bands atache not the shaft . .simplifyed the force goes from the band anchor point back to the handle
