Double Roller Build done!

I've been working away on this gun since mid-November, and hour here an hour there in my shop (damn full-time job). Pretty pleased aesthetically now I need to hop in the pool with it. 110cm mech to muzzle, 120cm overall length. Enclosed track. Two stage loading. I left the wishbones kind of long so I could adjust the length once I get in the pool with it.

Re: Double Roller Build done!

Clean I've been working on my double roller since summer. Can you post pics of it loaded so we can see how the bands lay?

Re: Double Roller Build done!

Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't the second sharkfin going to hit the first wishbone? Or are you loading both wishbone on the back fin?

Re: Double Roller Build done!

How was the carbon wrap to install? Is that one or two layers?

Re: Double Roller Build done!

I'll get you guys a pic of it loaded.

Both bands load to the back wishbone.

Kevin, I did a layer of fiberglass and the a layer of carbon on the handle. Single layer of carbon at the muzzle. The glass went on super easy over uncured resin. The carbon was a little more difficult. The plan was to put the carbon over "tacky" epoxy. Maybe I didn't wait long enough but I was having trouble getting the carbon to stick to my tacky resin. My second attempt worked out a lot easier. I just used spray adhesive, wrapped the carbon over it and then epoxied over that.

Re: Double Roller Build done!

Nice, those bands dont touch at all and run down the gun like rail road tracks, perfectly straight. Gunna be a low recoil and a very fast shooter. I can smell a triple wrap
