Carp, at least in numbers are slow to come around in the (early) morning.
Was going to extend the boundaries so that these guys could get lost for awhile longer as they leisurely floated and sun bathed the Colorado river.

How much more water would be released into the river an hour later in the a.m.?
Won't know the water flow until about 2 weeks prior to the date.

Viz will be similar to what you just experienced. Not a lot of change.

Daniel,

I just got back yesterday into the dive store. I have been in Costa Rica for the past 2 1/2 weeks checking it out and spearing a few fish.

I will post an update on the "CARPFEST" early next week and let you know the early registration cut off date.

Thanks for your continued interest nd support.

Jerry

Hi Jerry, how about a quick show on your trip to CR at the gathering? Getting the San Diego contingent pumped up for another Carpfest! Thanks for organizing this awesome event.

Re: May 14, 2011 colorado river series "carpfest" shoot

Hey just a Idea that I was tossing around with Spero75 when we were diving last weekend. I was thinking of setting a time to get together Friday night for dinner. Kind of a official unofficial dinner. Last time my brother and I ran into Richard and Austin at the buffet in Harrah's we chatted a little and it was nice to have that common ground. I was thinking about a buffet dinner the night before. I could call around and see if someone would cut us a "group rate" on a dinner price maybe a hair cheaper or something. Who would be down to break bread together Friday night. Thought?

Anytime getting together is great for new contacts and comeraderie. Personally, I'm a non-alcoholic drinker....so the odds might swing in our teams favor for saturday morning carp take.

My brother and I are planning on heading up too, we'd love to grab some dinner but we won't be drinking either. I've never been diving in the colorado river so I'm hoping to make a trip up there in the next month or two and check things out.
