South African high carbon shafts

Does anyone know where one can find South African high carbon shafts with pins or notches all the way back for newer euros with reverse mechs? Thanks in advance.

Re: South African high carbon shafts

I don't know of any South African guns with reverse trigger mechanims in terms of manufacturers, no doubt there are plenty of SA "home-builders" using them. The carbon shafts with some type of plating used to be common with all manufacturers in Europe as stainless steel was an upmarket option and spring stainless steel then did not exist for spears.

Although you damage the plating notches can be added with files and hacksaws, but you need to have the skills to make a good job of it. Welding pins or tabs will screw up the plating and can bow the shaft. There are aftermarket shaft makers and you will find them here among the site sponsors. https://redtidespearfishing.com

Check with SpearAmerica.com. They sometimes have Rob Allen pinned shafts in stock.
