Go pro hero 3 freezing!!!

My new hero 3 keeps freezing on me. Sometimes it takes good video and sometimes it freezes mid recording. Any ideas?

Re: Go pro hero 3 freezing!!!

Make sure you have a class 10 memory card. Using lower write speed cards could cause it to freeze

Re: Go pro hero 3 freezing!!!

I think I have a class 4 or 6. I didn't think a class ten was required.

Yea, you're definitely going to want a class 10 card for shooting in HD

Re: Go pro hero 3 freezing!!!

That is exactly why I use these high end Delkin SD 600X cards even in my Hero 2 cameras.

http://delkin.com/i-8580101-better-3...mory-card.html

These cards are more costly, but more reliable and faster. They write at 45MB per second and read at 90MB per second. If you look at the Hero 3 Black edition specs you will see a 45 MB bit rate is possible as opposed to lower bit rates for lower other editions and models.

Hero 3 High Video Bitrate Capture (H.264) *mode dependent, highest Bitrates supported in Protune

White Edition = Up to 15/Mbs
Silver Edition = Up to 35/Mbs
Black Edition = Up to 45/Mbs

The cards are:
- Ideal for HD & 3D Video
- Supports Rapid-fire RAW in DSLRs
- Fast Transfers from Card to Computer
