Color Correction Filters On The Cheap!

I found this little item on Amazon for $9.95 + free shipping with Prime! It has pretty much every conceivable filter you could want and then some! The sample pack also comes with a brief explanation of the properties of each filter on a piece of cardstock in between each gel.

The gel samples are large enough to fit over the lens of my Contour+2! Pretty sure it would work for just about any other camera out there. I took a few shots of how I cut the gels to fit my camera and attached them.

Looking forward to testing out all the possibilities! Hopefully this is useful others.

one sheet of properly tested gels can make you about 200 filter kits... now that is cheap

I totally agree but the key word there is "tested" It helps to know which color works best for your diving area. The sample kit provides the necessary colors so you can test and then you know exactly which sheet you need when your sample filter needs to be replaced.

So far for Lake Mead and Willow Beach I found that 15 percent magenta works pretty well and the 30 percent really works best at depths greater than 10'
