Anclote 7/6

Headed out with Dave and Alyssa. First stop in 45ft we limited on healthy gags. Hit a few other spots scouting. Found a Nice ARS in 40ft. VIS is starting to clear and the gumbo looks like it is dying off. Another Great day on the water.

Thanks - I have one more opportunity to get out for ARS before closure, so hoping for a good day not too terribly far out.

Its a rare and gorgeous catch for sure especially when it is fresh and lit up like that. The deep dropping lately has kept me from spearing but thought it was worth sharing here. Tore up a timing belt on one of my Yamaha 250s a couple weeks ago and damaged the valves. Patiently waiting for the machine shop to rebuild the heads. All the mechanics are swamped right now. Hopefully get the boat back in time to spear some ars.

Awesome fish! How many miles did you have to run to get out to 900’? Definitely post some pics of that rubbing once it is done.

It was 140 sm to 900' out of Marker 1 Marina in Dunedin. I was a guest on a 39 ST Contender the Marine Cowboy with the owner Shane, mate Dan, crew and my neighbor Captain Chris Taylor. Capt. Taylor can put you on some fish for sure.

Sorry to derail the thread but thanks for your interest.

That is a great looking fish.
Hope you post the rubbing when you get it, I am sure it will look great too.
