All About Pole Spears & Slings What is it about that traditional method of the early hunter/gatherers under the water? These devices are indeed interesting and effective.

JBL Shaka or equivalent?

Hey guys, looking into getting a pole spear for new England waters, relatively slow fish but bass up to 50lbs. I also want to be able to break it down and throw it in a back pack or small luggage for trips that are not solely for spearfishing. I have seen a few reviews for the JBL shaka, but wondered if anyone had experience with it? Or is there a breakdown spear that is better? It needs to breakdown to under 36 inches and have slip tip capability, power to land hefty fish would be nice!
