Re: BFT with Guardian July 16 ish

Those dudes (Guardian) rock! I went on a trip with them on July 8th and we were chasing BFT all day. We landed 4 (40-50lber's) but I was the sole diver that didn't get one. First blue water trip so I was just there for the learning experience... The nice thing about their charter is the captains put 110% into getting you your fish. We burned 91 gallons of fuel and were well over the 12hr time they advertised. They just wanted to put fish on the boat and took every measure to put us on the fish. Already booked my next trip with them in August.

Nice! Yea I’ve never gone after tuna either but am jonesing to give it a whirl and am hopeing I can set something up for August as well. My first blue water dive was in Hawaii and shot a wahoo and Mahi. Ever since then I’ve got a real itch for the pelagics.

Re: BFT with Guardian July 16 ish

I ended up going out two days in a row. Trips were totally different on back to back days. Sunday the 25th was run and gun on tuna and a few paddies. Monday was sitting on a school of stubborn bft for a few hours and some massive paddies.

We managed two bft on Sunday, my first, as well as my PB YT. 30ish lb a piece. Cant recommend them enough.
