Got my first underwater Kite of the year
Dove the Aqua Aces rodeo this weekend with my buddy Brandon from the Aqua Aces and Paul Coizic, AKA tha Hamma from the Hell Divers.
Finally got my first underwater kite. He came in at 115-8 lbs, but still was not big enough to make the board. Here's the picture: Paul's was 146-0 and took second place. Here is his underwater kite: When they tell you its like shooting an anchor, they are not kidding. Its like trying to haul a couple of bags of cement back to the boat while "flying" this underwater kite through the current. Up and over pipes, its crazy. Pretty fun though.

They say alot of restaurants cut circles out of the wings and call em scallops. We just give them to the guys to use for crab bait. Completing the circle of life.

My son shot one once, I can tell you 100% positively that they taste NOTHING LIKE SCALLOPS. If you were in bad need of somthing to eat, you could eat them. I wont try it again.

So, there is a category in a competition for killing an animal that isn't edible? That's a bit strange. Are they difficult to shoot? Do you have to be sneaky to get them? Are they invasive or a nuisance? Just curious......

man, man, man. Why does it always go there. And yes there is a category for killing the poor innocent sea kitten. But trust me nothing goes to waste here in Louisiana even with all the oil.

NO Lets do go there! You bunch of heartless bastards with no care for fish feelings. How can you kill them cute fish and not eat them? Aaron and Ryan would never do something like that especially just to win a particularly nice looking trophy. If I catch em off to peta conditioning camp ( i meant brainwashing camp with them!)
