Better bottom east or west Coffin Patch 50-80'?
Going down in a few weeks to Marathon area. Looking to get some diving in ocean side and look for some new spots, enjoy some dives, and hopefully get a few fish and bugs (if the weather and viz cooperates). Looking to cover and discover some new grounds in 50-80 ft of water on the reef line.
Over the last few years we have accumulated some numbers on the gulf side but looking to explore the other side. I was thinking about heading towards Coffin Patch and then working East or West. Any opinions on which way may be more productive? |

Doesn't look to be a whole lot different either way on google earth. I would assume east has less pressure due to proximity to marathon?

Hey Sweeney,
We did not get a chance to spend much time exploring, we ended up offshore trolling and lobstering bay side instead. But I think east might be the less pressured area as well. |
