Re: Heading to catalina monday or tuesday
Vis was good until the storm hit...usually takes 3 or 4 days for water to clear after runoff from hills...spearfishing is iffy at present...me? I would work up at the inside west end where there is reports of some squid showing recently and in turn, a chance at some yellowtail or early seabass....I have good results hooping out in 70 to 80' depths for lobster...shallows get worked over pretty good early in the season...make sure your hoops are marked with your i.d. info per new regulations.....update: With 7 to 8' swells and wind gusts to 25 mph forecast for Sunday, I suggest rescheduling until it all blows thru....
