Hey thanks! The opaleye was actually pretty good! The big opaleyes taste pretty good and the meat is pretty firm.

I tried a small one when I was starting out just to taste opaleye. It was so mushy and the taste was just gross. I couldn't eat him.

great catch. cabs can look so similar to sculpin underwater... esp since scullies can look "greyish" when laying on rocks.

i forget what cab size limits are... be sure to make sure its legal. =]

15" for Cabezon. This guy was 16 so he's legal.

Re: Dive Report La Jolla

Hey sweet video man, I'm from bc but am down in la jolla right now, I'v was going to try spearfishing la jolla beach south of children's pool. Could you list a few things that are open and what the min size limits are? I know my fish species very well just don't know the size limits for sheepheads and calicos. Thanks

Nice job man! Try holding the fish when you're braining it... It's a lot easier...
