Re: Another Neptonics Bikini Pic with Floatline and not much else...

Are there any pictures with a clear floatline?

I may be in the minority here, but I feel this is spot on. To be honest, I feel that images of beautiful women showing skill and awesomeness is waaayy more sexy than just another chick in a bikini. Besides, there is a whole section on this forum for that if that's what you (or I!) am looking for.

Maybe we could get a specific pics section just for awesome action pics of women spearos, bikini or wettie style!

Additionally, while I do see both sides of this debate, I realize Jeremy's point is a distinctively American point of view. Ask any female in Europe, Japan, Australia or NZ, they would laugh that it's even being discussed. Our puritanical roots are the cause of such discussions and the pervasive "pervy" mentality that is oft decried in relation to it. The human body, or appreciation of it, is not a negative or demeaning thing. Negative comments or restrictive actions about it definitely are.

As Americans, we do have the right to support or boycott anything as it fits our specific world view. I believe Jeremy was trying make a point to a company in support of his fair-view of women. That is all.

Jeremy is just posting a very valid point of view. He's not even asking that you agree with him. If you think his POV is outrageous it's probably also worth asking why you feel so defensive about it, and why this board is about 99.9% male.

About that "girl"

The young woman's name is Shane. I know because she is a very close friend of mine and I organised the shoot. Not only did I organise it but I suggested it and take full responsibility for doing so. If you're offended by it I apologise, and your objection should be directed toward me.

First off I would like to say I respect your opinion and in many ways agree with you. I'm a staunch feminist, champion equal rights and have supported many causes and associations promoting as such. I'm lucky enough to consider some of my closest friends to be extremely successful, independent, intelligent women.

Shane (the girl from the photoshoot) is one of the fiercest, most independent women I know. She's extremely smart, driven and incredibly talented. She also loves white seabass and has a thing for yellowtail poke. I know because I've cooked her both. She's happy for me to do the spearing while she sticks to ballet and silks.

I suggested we do a shoot because she's in school and as we know school in the U.S is prohibitively expensive. If we got her a look book together she could easily make $1250-$2500 a day modelling. Right now she's working part time for $10 an hour.

A look book is what models use to show to agents. It's a catch 22, no book, no agent, no agent no pics to stick in a book. I talked to Josh and figured we could do a fun, sexy shoot that would help Shane get some shots together meanwhile give Neptonics something to use to promote gear.

My inspiration came from Pirelli calendars. The most coveted campaign a model could ever do. Only the most successful women are used for their campaigns. They are raunchy and fun as hell. Shane loved the idea, she's proud of her body and works damn hard to keep it in shape. I came up with half a dozen different ideas, we walked down to the beach and took pics for an hour. What you see are the results.

Again, I'm not here to challenge you or your partner's views, just to shed some light on the backstory. I would also like to add that I consider the guys from Sturgill and Greg and Vanessa from Freedive Shop to be my friends. As you can see below they have also partaken in similar advertising strategies. I pray you continue to shop at all three stores. They are all good hard working people.

Argument out the window about shopping elsewhere when they use the same type of ads. Well said.

If in reference to me, I was just curious as to what your motivation in hijacking someone else's thread was. I don't care if you share your thoughts in public or private. ...but I think it's poor form to do it on this thread.

Neptonics is a sponsor. They pay to be on this board. The same board that we all visit. Without sponsors this forum may not be here for you.

At first read I just thought you were being too sensitive. After your comments about having a daughter it got me thinking. I only have sons but maybe I'd think different if I did have a girl. ...but also the more you write the less impact your point has.

As for the advertising of Neptonics, it makes me want to buy a floatline.
Nice job guys!

I'm sure that it's fun to do your photo shoots, and that lots of your customers and fans that can't find enough porn online appricate you models, and that it sells and gets people to look at your product. But you need to hear as well that there are people who will chose not to patronize your business because of it.

Obviously it's your company so you run it how you like, but I'm not impressed by your cheesy stripper laden ads. There are plenty of real female divers and spearos out there maybe you should find one to help you push your product.

If you have a daughter or sister or mom or know a female spearo you might ask them how they feel about your ads; I know we are not the only ones who have a negative association with your company due to the way you portray women

Jeremy
Okay, time to go to West Hollywood and find a 'Rice Queen' to pose and make Namor happy.

Talk shit when you see how many baja trips leave from this household Erin. I dont know why you are dragging me into this but you sure talk alot of shit for someone that feels safer on a charter boat than on his own boat. Keep stroking Namor and your keyboard.

Cant beleive this thread went from having a hot ass chick repping a local product to the LGBT community having a say on this one.

Keep it up Neptonics, we straight shooters love your ad.

So we will change Namor's name to caution.
Then it will be Errin on the side of caution.

Separate rooms; this is not San Fran son..........

Sorry about that I didn't really mean to direct that at you individually , I shouldn't have used it after your quote. It was more just a general reaction to comments of posters feeling they should comment in public but I'm supposed to keep my objection limited to PM. Your comments have been civil in tone, and I fell short of that mark.
