Mu good/safe for sashimi?
I figure Hawaii is where I would find someone in the know. I finally shot my first Mu (3.6lbs) yesterday in Lombok, Indonesia. I was really stoked. I can't find anything on how they are for sashimi. Any first hand experience? Thanks!

Rosst,
Janky Waspangal enak. Sure. The best is to prep the fillet using salt water. (I use Drinking water with Salt Mixed into it so I know it's clean) Then try Flash freeze that Fillet. Then you can slice nice and thin. (Also kills any possible parasites) Janky Waspangal is good Any Way. my favorite is in Bannana Leaf wih garlic Ginger and Coconut. Don't stress, Vermox comes in many Flavors these days.

We had some as sashimi but it didn't really compare to the Blue Trevali. Half of it was left over; we grilled it and it was fantastic. |

Let Mu sit for a day before eating/cutting. Same with those Emperor Snapper. The meat needs to relax. It's better quality than the trivially, but needs to relax. That being said some of those Trevally especially the smaller Yellowspots are delicious for sushi.
