Re: Current Vis - Tampa Bay Region (Homosassa to Sarasota)

30-45 feet off NPR today, about 15-20 miles out. Water 71 degrees top to bottom in both depths. Viz a decent 15-25 with a little haze and particulate but not bad. Got some decent mangos, hogs. Lots of life but all hogs were in that 13-15.5" range. Mangos were prolific. Gags spooky and small, saw maybe one legal but skittish. No sharks other than a nurse. Saw lots of triggers and some BIG BIG BIG AJ, of course Only saw one small school of spanish macks. Decent number of 12-13" sherpa.

Not too bad of a day for me - hit everything I shot at which was nice.

Honestly I'm thinking the action is going to continue to be in the 35' and shallower range from now on.

Hold on... I'm starting to believe your bottom machine was accurate when it intermittently said 59. Shit that was a cold 71 today with no sun. My mistake thinking it was still 77-78. Never a good thing when you roll into 71 thinking it's 78. Totally unprepared and I'm thinking I need an new suit. Perhaps it's been crushed too many times.

Unless is warms up, I'm 5 mil from here on out.

And since I don't have any good video to share, here's an example of what it looked like when I dove in today.

LOL - it WAS pretty funny as we were heading out and the one thru-hull transducer was saying 59 - my other two divers (both of Italian descent) were giving me the "Godfather" look - to which my Finnish side was saying, "Pussies"

Whatever, I'll be better prepared in my nice Italian 'three piece suit' next week.

Perhaps a nice Chianti and some fava beans, perhaps?

Glad to see that my temp sensor isn't off as well. Had the boat on the flats for an hour or so yesterday and was reading 65-67.
