Re: Malibu Conditions Permathread

Went out last Sunday West Bu and the viz got poor again. On another note, planning on going on a YT charter out of Ventura area this weekend, so can anyone recommend an outfit.

I went out last saturday around County line area. Inner kelp area the viz was about 10 feet but out in the kelp and outter kelp the vis cleared up but you had to dive past the murk layer. water was 68deg in the morning. pretty comfortable in my 3mm for 1.5 hour or so.

Got out both days last weekend South of Dume; Sunday was definitely the better day viz wise. Ended up getting a 27" Halibut out of it. There is definitely a lot more fish on the reef now too. Probably heading out this afternoon too

Was out last Sunday and it was pretty good, saw a ghost cruising by, but I was too damn slow. Anyway, just got back from Oxnard cruising down pch and the ocean looked brown in many places, diarrhea color.

Dove lower bu yesterday out of MDR. Deep water was really clear, kinda murky in shallower. Santa Monica Bay a few miles out was crystal clear at the surface.
