Re: Daily Vis report thread
No way that state record trigger won't get shot this season. I've had 2 or 3 within a few ounces. It's only a matter of time before someone gets a big enough fish.

Re: Daily Vis report thread
dove yesterday out front, MOCO.
Vis was great, 10 ft plus in sections. Saw some fluke and small bass. Hoping to get out again after work this week. |

Vis is still good... What a year so far! Seems it goes from really good to good enough back to really good. I could get used to this . haha Hopefully it continues.

Looks like I picked the perfect time to fracture and dislocate my talus bone in the ankle. Hoping next year it is good as well. 13 weeks in on crutches and I just got the ok to start bearing partial weight. Still going to be a long recovery. Its been hell. All i want to do is shoot some damn fish!! |

Re: Daily Vis report thread
Hey John - I'm able to dive off a boat with 1 fin, but probably not going to attempt that for another couple weeks. Either way, it seriously screwed my 2018 season. I was hoping to make a couple dives with you guys again this year. I saw you did well with Scott on the bandit. Congrats on the nice fish. Looks like you guys brought back up batteries this time for the gopros

Re: Daily Vis report thread
Uhh that’s terrible...all the recent seasons you picked the worst one to be out on the disabled list... I didn’t realize it takes that long! I figured you’d be in by late July or August.

Re: Daily Vis report thread
Crushed it Sunday shot 2 triggers at once which was pretty satisfying. Got out for about an hour, vis was a stirred up 3-4ft. Anyone finds a beat up cressi fin near BI let me know please.

Re: Daily Vis report thread
I would help you out but its not looking to good for the foreseeable future. You just brought up getting back to diving and the conditions went to hell....maybe not a good omen

Re: Daily Vis report thread
Nice Sheepsheads Mana!
I really like them they have a unique crabby flavor. I wish we got as many up here as down there. In addition to the fillets I cut the collar out on the last two good sized ones I got and it was fantastic. Marinated in soy and ginger then grilled. If you like picking at cooked whole fish and collars they are definitely a fish worth collaring at that size.

Re: Daily Vis report thread
Pelagics........ bummer on missing a season,,us here in This Northern Lattitude wait so torturously long all winter,, doing imaginary dives in the bath tub,, waking up from dreaming about 5 min breath holds gagging for air,,,aiming at dead fish as we roll our shopping carts past the fish section in supermarkets,,then inventorying our gear in late February, purchasing extras of everything and daily checking water temps,,,
so OUCH on that benching injury praying for a full recovery |
