Trailer Question
I have an older model tandem axle trailer. The bearings have failed on one wheel. I need to move the boat/trailer about 5 miles from current location. Any idea if I could remove the tire on the faulty hub and drive slowly and safely without causing further damage to the other wheels?

Re: Trailer Question
i had this happen to me at the marina. my bearing blew up and tire came off the trailer. it was my read tire on my tandem axle trailer. the hardest part was to load the boat back on the trailer. once i got her on the trailer. i drove extremely slow to the house and tried avoiding bumps as much as possible. once i got home i replaced the bearings with a new hub kit.

Re: Trailer Question
It can be done, but you need to bind up the axle with no wheel on it. I used a cargo strap once when this happened on the freeway to me to limp it home. Jack up the axle until it lifts the other tire off the ground and secure the bad axle somehow and you should be OK.
