State water Snapper
Ok,
Lets see some pictures of state water snapper. I know someone besides me has been. A 2 fish limit was difficult yesterday with the bad vis and strong top current. Couldn't see anything till I got down past 15 or so, then it was around 10ft vis. It was very cloudy yesterday, and that didn't help either. May have cleared up a little at 40ft, but it was very dark and that was seriously messing with my breath hold. Anyway, I got 2 and this one was the biggest. |

Re: State water Snapper
Nice fish Keith. I haven't a been but a friend of mine stopped by to weigh a good one on my scale yesterday (Was 20.3) He said the same as far as viz goes. Been hearing there's some pockets of a little cleaner water around in places. Wish the weather would cooperate this weekend

Re: State water Snapper
Thanks.
I am pretty sure it will clear up some as soon as the wind starts more out of the East. The current is the worst thing though. I wanted to use my polespear more, but the floatline was impossible. Current was one direction, with the waves from another. Always tangled in the rig legs. Went with an 86 cm gun instead. |

One of my buddies was off Pensacola yesterday and could see the wreck from the surface in 65ft. Hopefully this south East wind keeps moving that water this way.
