Vacuum barrel pneumatic

A DB member asked me if it is worthy to have vacuum barrel (Tomba) on the pneumatic gun (Cyrano).

I asked him:
Is it worthy to have about 45% better performance: vacuum barrel (min 25%) + more hydrodinamic parts on the shaft (min 20%)?

This is true for the majority of pneumatic guns. For Airbalete performance could be better "only" 25% in shallow water. In deeper water more.

Re: Vacuum barrel pneumatic

Tomba, mamba, tovarich, etc...all are apparently worthy upgrades, but apart from the maorisub mamba site, none of these kits seem to be available for purchase...unless you have some kind of black market connection?

Very important, the noise is low as well as recoil, lower than a band gun!
On 15 Bars performs better than before on 20 Bars and 8 mm shaft.

Re: Vacuum barrel pneumatic

I compared the factory set of the Cyrano 850 (original Mares slider, original black line) to the tomba set. The difference was huge: 36 x higher energy at 5 m distance from the gun and on 25 Bars, 6 x higher speed of the shaft. Not all thanks to tomba vacuum barrel but the all setup made the difference.

Good Sealing:
YouTube - GoodSealing.MPG
In this case I had been using cone sliding ring with 6.55 mm ID.

Poor Sealing:
YouTube - PoorSealing.MPG
In this case I had been using cone sliding ring with 6.66 mm ID. The water in the "cup" was sucked by vacuum in the barrel.

These tests had been done with the previous Tomba10 adapter with 10.05 mm boring for the O-ring. The new Tomba10 adapter has 9.9 mm boring so it is more tolerance forgiving than this on the video.

Re: Vacuum barrel pneumatic

This is the simplest vacuum barrel kit, all you need - Tomba12easy. Muzzle on the picture is original Cyrano muzzle, without modification. Just the muzzle relief ports should be closed with adhesive tape ( and all joints too).
