Pics of bluefin tuna run!
Some pics taken while freediving in green/ cold waters far offshore in the North Atlantic.
Exceptional encounter made with massive bfin tuna hunting fiercely an herring school. Fish from 600 to 900lb running at over 60 mpm in the depths... action lasted about half an hour then fish took off and vanished in the abyss... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZgD9FrtPfc

Re: Pics of bluefin tuna run!
Awesome!
Imagine the ride a 900lb'er would give you and how many floats you'd need! Not recommended with a reel!!

Re: Pics of bluefin tuna run!
Thank,s for your friendly feedback!
would like to share some diving parameters: -impredictable herring offshore migration! -water temp (sea temp was about 50F on the surface and colder in the depth), if temp is too low tuna appetite is decreasing, does'nt work -mother nature is the main master of the game: unsafety diving conditions if a too rough swell, becalmed sea to spot action on the surface (see pic)... -a couple of days around full moon...
