Talking Gar

Stan (Wet Spot) and I went out on an all day trip to Lake Pontchartrain in search of some monster gar. We finally hit the G Spot and Stan went down and shot a 50lber. After we released him, I went down and saw a tail that looked like a tennis racket swim by me. Took the only shot I had in the tail and luckily got her to the boat. She was 107.8lbs. Now I can give the rest of the HELLDIVERS a real gar to shoot for.

Re: Gar

If I saw that thing in murky lake water here in FL I'd shoot it for fear that I was about to be eaten by an alligator! What a freakin dinosaur...crazy shit.

I shot that one in the tail. We were skin diving in about 15 ft of water. They go on sporatic runs about every 10-15 seconds. Pretty good adrenaline rush as they are pulling you through the water. And yes they do have some power, Wet Spot said that it looked like I was on Jaws the was it was pulling me through the water.
