Thanks, Looks to stun the shark not kill, wonder if it can kill a tuna instantly, these blues run in a pack, so need to kill instantly and also need to protect my self from them, I don't want to kill the sharks at all, there way to cool. The only lucky time I get a tuna to the surface is when the Sun fish are around and there not that abundant.

Would you recommend that round for a moderately sized grouper?

Re: Powerhead Safety Tips and Tricks (or How Not to Blow Yourself Up!)

Depends on who makes the powerhead. One that is tightly chambered with a fitted exit would probably do alot of damage. The ones I use have a muzzle the same diameter as the casing so they do a little less damage... so to speak. Just like in hunting.... it's all about shot placement.

K moose what do you think of these

http://www.spearfishing.cc/Personal%...n%20Device.htm

And I think the B ones are called BB's

Also this has 30-06, is that close to your russian or not.

Is this one not safe either the 357 dual safety.http://www.deepsixintl.com/shopexd.asp?id=5767

Although the slip on is the fastest for reloading.

Re: Powerhead Safety Tips and Tricks (or How Not to Blow Yourself Up!)

Ray makes good stuff if your not going to make it yourself. The 3006 is close to the russian round. The others have self contained firing pins and are super heavy and much less safe. The slip-ons can be thrown against a wall and will never go off.

If you think thats unsafe, you should try it without a power head while holding your breath!
