Big Swells, Terrible Visability, Few Bugs .....

... until we found a Giant BULL RING! Easily 30 bugs total, two easy limits and heading home. Almost decided to shine it today. Glad we tried.

You know there'd be video if the conditions were doable, but we were damn near braille diving, hoping to bump into some king of Lobster hangout. For those of you that don't know what a Bull Ring is; it's a group of Bugs that have come together out in the sand where there is nothing for them to hide under. They form a circle like musk oxen, with their tails toward the center and their heads and Antena facing out ward. In this way, nothing can sneak up behind them. If something attempts to molest any of them, they all escape in different directions, confusing the predator, (us in this case). Out of all the bugs in this ring, we were only able to secure 3 or 4, before the rest disappeared into the murk. What a sight to see though. I've only seen this a handful of times in all my diving years.

Thank you for posting your report. I have seem this lobster behavior in Florida as well.Lobsters also follow each other making a long line close to the beach.
