All About Pole Spears & Slings What is it about that traditional method of the early hunter/gatherers under the water? These devices are indeed interesting and effective. |

My JBL polespear mods. Very effective...
Ok, so the grip is made from an ancient gameboy charger cord, with electrical tape wrapped tightly around. The band cord is a leash plug cord with a pre-tied knot. I put a few washers on the cord to prevent the cord from coming out under extreme stress. I fashioned an abrasion resistant sleeve out of an old piece of trident polespear band in the rear opening of the pole, so that the sides of the leash plug cord would not fray. The band is a trident power band, I was too lazy to tie the bands myself. I also sheathed the dyneema or whatever the material the cord on the band is made of to reduce the cord from catching or fraying on anything. This mod has turned out to be infinitely better than the original band. Sorry for the poor quality pics, they're from my ipod.
PS: The white marking on the grip is for WSB |

Hey man great mod hows it working for accuracy? Just got the same jbl model and seems like the end might be a bit to sharp for the band so eventually I gotta edit mine
